Description:
The Landscape Production Manager coordinates daily landscape maintenance operations and supports field supervisors and crews. Reporting to the Landscape Division Manager, this position focuses on scheduling, work quality, site inspections, and timely communication. Responsibilities may expand as the employee develops in the role and demonstrates consistent performance.
Primary Duties
- Coordinate daily crew assignments and schedules under the Landscape Division Manager’s direction.
- Support supervisors and crews by communicating priorities, following up on assignments, and addressing routine field issues.
- Conduct site inspections, document findings with photos, and follow up on needed corrections.
- Provide the Landscape Division Manager with regular updates on completed work, pending assignments, staffing concerns, and service issues.
- Communicate routine service and project updates to clients; refer complaints, pricing questions, and scope changes to the Landscape Division Manager.
- Submit completed-work records, photos, labor hours, materials, and approval documentation to the Billing Specialist.
- Assist with proposals by gathering site measurements, photos, and scope details for the Landscape Division Manager’s review.
- Monitor labor hours and communicate anticipated overtime or staffing needs for approval.
- Reinforce company policies, safe work practices, and accurate timekeeping in coordination with HR and Safety.
- Report equipment, vehicle, and supply needs and help coordinate approved requests.
Requirements:
- Experience in commercial landscape maintenance, with prior crew leadership or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, irrigation basics, and equipment.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and communication skills.
- Ability to document work and use email, smartphone applications, and basic computer programs.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required, with the ability to communicate clearly with Spanish-speaking crews and supervisors and provide updates in English to clients and office staff.
