About the Role:
S & N Machine & Fabricating Inc is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control professional to join our team in Rothbury, MI. This is a great opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of precision and excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect finished and in-process parts for dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and conformance to specifications
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part tolerances
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records
- Identify, tag, and report non-conforming parts and coordinate corrective actions
- Collaborate with machinists and fabricators to resolve quality issues on the shop floor
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve production quality
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, blueprints, and internal quality standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience in quality control, inspection, or a related manufacturing role
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Familiarity with machining and metal fabrication processes preferred
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production teams
- Experience with quality documentation and reporting systems is a plus
