This is a senior-level civil engineering project management role focused on major capital improvement projects. You’d help take projects from planning and design through construction. You’d oversee budgets, schedules, consultants, contractors, construction managers, and inspectors. The projects involve public infrastructure, including transportation and stormwater work. They’re looking for someone with a Florida PE who can manage the technical side while keeping large projects moving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 4+ years of civil engineering design and project management experience
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience managing transportation, stormwater, or public infrastructure projects
- Experience overseeing projects through design and construction
- Experience supervising or directing Construction Managers and Construction Inspectors
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally totaling $60M+
- Experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, and cost estimates
- Experience reviewing engineering plans and specifications
- Experience coordinating bidding and procurement processes
- Experience negotiating contracts and managing engineering or construction consultants
- Strong coordination skills involving contractors, government agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders
- Valid Florida driver’s license
