We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Radio Frequency (RF) Hardware Engineer to join our cutting-edge engineering team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and testing RF hardware systems that power advanced communication and signal processing solutions. Your expertise will drive the development of high-performance RF components, ensuring they meet rigorous industry standards and project requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects that push the boundaries of wireless technology and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF hardware components, including antennas, filters, amplifiers, and transceivers, ensuring optimal performance within system specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate RF modules with digital systems such as FPGA, SoC (System on Chip), and microcontrollers.
  • Conduct detailed circuit design and schematic development using CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks; perform PCB layout and fabrication oversight.
  • Perform system-level simulations utilizing tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or SystemVerilog to validate design concepts before prototyping.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts through root cause analysis during testing phases; utilize oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and signal analyzers to diagnose hardware issues.
  • Develop and execute engineering testing protocols aligned with electrical building codes (e.g., NEC), NFPA 70 compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance on surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and quality control measures for RF hardware production.

Experience

  • Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role focused on electronics design and RF systems development.
  • Strong background in PCB design, electrical schematic creation, and circuit design for RF applications using CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA programming, SystemVerilog, C++, Python scripting for automation/testing, and simulation tools like MATLAB or Simulink.
  • Knowledge of signal processing techniques relevant to communications systems engineering; familiarity with control systems and firmware development is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform debugging and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems; experience with electrical system verification is essential.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to mechanical engineering principles applicable to RF hardware enclosures or integration is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation standards, electrical codes (including NEC), surface mount technology (SMT), ARM microcontrollers, Arduino platforms, vision inspection systems, and firmware development enhances candidate suitability.
