Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds on a continuous basis.
- Must be able to push/pull linen bins weighing up to 700 lbs.
- Must be able to repetitively grasp, push, pull, bend, stretch, and stoop.
- Must be able to stand/walk 100% of the scheduled workday.
- Must be able to follow instructions and to interact appropriately with coworkers, hospital personnel, patients, visitors, and management.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to count accurately and do simple math.
- Must be very dependable and punctual.
- Must be able to workdays, evenings, weekends, and overtime where necessary by the demands of the business.
Primary Job Duties:
- Performs staffing requirements to ensure accurate and timely delivery of clean linen to all units within the Hospital.
- Maintains employee scheduling, timekeeping and attendance in the time & attendance system. Ensures employees comply with all safety, personnel and HR policies and procedures.
- Actively supervises the operation of the in-house linen system, both clean delivery and soiled laundry pickup.
- Oversees clean linen distribution and soiled linen collection process
- Communicates with hospital departments: administration, nursing, housekeeping, etc.
- Conducts daily linen room inventory and determines linen order requirements
- Maintains daily linen usage data by department
- Recommends and implements linen management and cost reduction measures
- Surveys hospital daily for quality assurance; reviews with Shared Hospital Services Customer Service Manager as needed
- Represents Shared Hospital Services and the hospital in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
