About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Legal Assistant to join our team in Windsor, Colorado.
The Legal Assistant will work closely with attorneys and the legal team to provide support with legal documents, client matters, case organization, and day-to-day administrative responsibilities.
Experience in estate planning, probate, trusts, elder law, or another area of law is a plus, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong attention to detail, professionalism, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
What You’ll Do
- Assist attorneys with legal and administrative tasks.
- Prepare, organize, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence.
- Assist with estate planning and related legal matters.
- Help organize wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and other legal documents.
- Prepare materials and documents for attorney review.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files.
- Track deadlines, appointments, documents, and follow-up items.
- Help coordinate client meetings and document signings.
- Assist with client communications and follow-up as directed by attorneys.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather information as needed.
- Enter and maintain information in case management and document systems.
- Assist with probate and estate administration matters as needed.
- Support attorneys and the legal team with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling client and legal information.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous legal assistant, law firm, legal administrative, or related experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.

- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new legal technology.

You understand that working in a law firm requires accuracy, confidentiality, professionalism, and follow-through. You are comfortable supporting attorneys, interacting with clients, and helping keep legal matters organized and moving forward.
Experience with estate planning, probate, trusts, or elder law is a plus, but we are open to candidates with transferable legal or administrative experience who are eager to learn.
