Senior Project Manager – Lead Electrical Construction Operations for Kearney Electric

Job Overview:

The Opportunity:

You will drive total project performance and financial success across high-value, complex electrical construction projects throughout Arizona. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, direct project management staff, and partner closely with key clients to deliver projects profitably. This role empowers you to make strategic decisions, foster key industry relationships, and model company core values on major regional builds.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Manage all financial, administrative, and operational phases of complex electrical projects to maximize profit margins.
  • Direct and mentor assigned Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers to build operational capability.
  • Negotiate, prepare, and manage job quotes, bid packages, and change orders in a timely manner.
  • Partner with engineering teams on Design-Build scope approval, plan checks, and contract reviews.
  • Formulate accurate monthly cost projections, oversee billing cycles, and maintain a positive cash flow position.
  • Oversee material releases for lighting gear and controls while monitoring weekly job cost expenditures.
  • Conduct monthly executive project reviews and maintain continuous communication with client leadership.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of electrical construction project management experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with electrical estimating tools like McCormick or Accubid.
  • High-level mastery of MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, and working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex architectural, MEP, structural, and electrical specifications.
  • Deep understanding of local electrical codes, state regulations, and CCIP/OCIP contract administration.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Active LEED AP certification.
  • Active OSHA 30-Hour certification.
