Requirements
Fit, assemble, and align metal components according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions.
Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for fitting and assembly.
Perform structural repairs and modifications as needed.
Use grinders, cutting torches, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment.
Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and fit-up before welding.
Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.
Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition.
Qualifications
Previous hands-on experience as a Fitter.
Experience in metal fabrication, fitting, and structural assembly.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in using measuring tools, grinders, and cutting equipment.
Strong understanding of fitting techniques and material preparation.
Previous experience in industrial or marine environments preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
