In this role, you will be an integral member of a high performing District Sales team working together to achieve profitablemarket sharegrowth and create anindustry-leadingand sustainable position for Syngenta.Candidate will work within a multi-dimensional sales team environment providing support and direction to retail, grower and distribution customers to market Syngenta Crop Protection products.
Job Description
- Achievesales, profit, and market share targets with channel partners, key producers and other customers within the assigned territory as part of the overall sales and marketing plan for the district and broader Commercial Unit
- Customers view the relationship as a partnership and seek help to uncover & prioritize their keyissues & concerns. Able to navigate difficult situationsand conversations with customers independently todeliver aneffective resolution.Create demand at the customer level, ensuring that the customer is knowledgeable about our products and has further interest in Syngenta solutions. Frequently identify opportunities that customers had not identified themselves to build thecustomer’s business and grow accountshare
- Acting as primary liaison for all channel partners and retail accounts within territory, which includes developing and implementing annual business plans to influence end-user demand.Assistschannel partners with their ability to connect with growers moreeffectively in delivering solutions
- Partners withBiologicals,Seed Care,and AgriEdge Specialists to developqualityterritorybusiness plans to capitalize on salesopportunities.CollaborateswithdistrictSalesReps, AgriEdgeSpecialistsandAgronomists to further support thechannel.Provides mentorship and training for new employees within thedistrict
- Responsible forcoordinating and supportingtrade shows,field producttours, andnewproduct launches for crop protection within their territory
- Acts as a steward of the Syngenta portfolio by making recommendations and by managing complaints/issues in the field as needed, in partnership with Agronomy.Contribute to themarketingcampaign,AgriEdge and district plans to deliver the Commercial Unit/Districtbusiness plan
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Marketing, and/or Science
- 3years of relevant experience in agronomy, farm, and/or retail within the crop protection or seed industry
- Knowledge of general cropping practices, agriculturaltechnology and trends and requirements for pest control
- Strong technical knowledge of Syngenta and competitive products
- Excellentbusiness acumen and ability to understand business financials and price/volume relationships
- Understands andapplies environmental factors and market trends to accountplanning
- Applies consultative selling techniques
- Demonstrated ability to managelarger/strategic channel partners and/or key producers
