Shape quality on the production floor

Join an automotive manufacturing team in a day-based, direct-hire, salaried role where your decisions protect customers and keep production on track. You’ll move from data to action quicklydiving into issues, coaching teams through fixes, and, when needed, pausing the line to safeguard quality and safety.

A day in this role

Start by scanning quality data and SPC trends, looking for signals that hint at drift or risk. When you spot a concern, you’ll investigate the root cause and lead cross-functional corrective actions, using structured methods like 8D to lock in permanent fixes. Throughout the day, you’ll check that control plans are being followed, inspections are effective, and procedures are current and practical for the floor.

As parts move through the process, you’ll review and approve quality documentation and sign off on product releases. If a deviation or rework is appropriate, you’ll evaluate it and authorize the path forward. You’ll also support customer, supplier, and internal auditsprepping evidence, answering questions, and ensuring findings translate into improvements.

What you’ll take ownership of
  • Investigating quality issues and leading corrective actions to closure.
  • Monitoring control plans, inspections, and quality procedures on the line.
  • Analyzing quality data to uncover trends and drive process improvements.
  • Supporting customer, supplier, and internal audit activities.
  • Approving quality documentation, product releases, deviations, and rework.
  • Stopping production when quality or safety concerns arise.
What you bring
  • Hands-on ISO 9001 manufacturing Quality Engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of 8D, FMEA, SPC, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Strong problem-solving capability and clear, confident communication.
