Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join a sophisticated Complex Litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator looking for meaningful autonomy, substantial responsibility, and a more flexible workload within a nationally recognized firm.

The position may be based anywhere in Texas and carries a reduced 1,600-hour annual billable requirement, making this an attractive option for attorneys seeking a strong litigation platform with greater flexibility.

The attorney will handle matters independently and take ownership of cases from start to finish, with opportunities to draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, work with experts, and develop litigation strategy. Tort litigation and insurance defense experience are particularly well suited to the role.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of litigation experience

• Tort litigation and/or insurance defense experience preferred

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

• Exceptional legal research and writing abilities

• Experience drafting and arguing motions

• Experience taking and defending depositions

• Experience evaluating, interviewing, and deposing experts

• Ability to manage files and matters autonomously

• State and federal trial experience preferred

• Texas Bar admission required
