What You'll Do
Lead the Project and Team
- Manage the project team, directing Project Engineers and Assistant PMs, and partnering with the Superintendent to keep field and office aligned
- Hold preconstruction and job meetings, and meet regularly with the owner
- Resolve design and detail issues with owners, design teams, suppliers and subcontractors
Own the Schedule
- Establish and manage the overall project schedule in coordination with the Superintendent
- Coordinate material deliveries and subcontractor work, and adjust as the job changes
- Request time extensions as needed under the contract documents
Manage the Financials
- Oversee the financial health of the project, analyze job cost reports and recommend action on overruns
- Review, code and approve subcontractor and vendor pay applications and invoices
- Prepare owner billings and monthly percent-complete data with the Superintendent
- Estimate and submit change requests, and execute change orders with the owner, architect and subcontractors
Coordinate Subcontractors and Submittals
- Coordinate all subcontractors and vendors, and support strong subcontractor relationships
- Manage the submittal process so materials and equipment arrive on time to support the schedule
Protect Safety, Quality and Compliance
- Manage the Site-Specific Safety Program and uphold Crain's safety guidelines, OSHA requirements and best practices
- Make sure company processes are followed, contract files are maintained and as-built records are kept current
Grow With Us
- Mentor and train Project Engineers and Assistant PMs
- Represent Crain at industry events
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 5 years of applicable experience, or 8 years of applicable experience
- At least 5 years managing commercial projects of up to $15 million, or equivalent experience supporting a senior PM on larger projects
- Strong financial, scheduling and communication skills
