Job Overview
MG America is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team in Fairfield, NJ. This hands-on position is essential to maintaining daily shipping and receiving operations, managing specialized spare parts inventory, and ensuring our high-value machinery is securely prepared for transport. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, maintains an organized work environment, and possesses basic mechanical aptitude for custom crate fabrication and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping & Receiving Operations
- Process, log, and receive all incoming shipments and orders accurately against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Prepare, pull, and complete all outgoing customer orders in a timely manner.
- Safely handle the loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
- Inventory & Materials Management
- Maintain precise accuracy of spare parts inventory across all stock levels and storage locations.
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of shipping and packaging supplies (boxes, strapping, stretch wrap, hardware).
- Machinery Preparation & Crating
- Construct custom wooden crates and protective framing for machinery to ensure safe transit to customers.
- Warehouse & Facility Maintenance
- Keep the warehouse, packing stations, and staging areas neat, safe, clean, and organized.
- Perform basic building maintenance and minor repairs as needed to maintain facility upkeep.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or material handling.
- Technical Skills: Basic carpentry skills (proficient with power tools and saws for crate building).
- Equipment Handling: Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Strong organization skills with experience using inventory tracking systems or managing part numbers/stock levels.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to heavy lift (up to 50+ lbs), stand, bend, and move continuously throughout the workday.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated team player with a strong focus on safety and precision.
