Job Title: Operator 1, ManufacturingJob Description

The Manufacturing Operator supports the Assembly department by operating processing and packaging equipment, handling raw materials, and performing in-process checks to ensure products meet required specifications. This role follows established procedures and safety standards while working with semi-automated and automated equipment in a regulated, quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate processing and packaging equipment, including balances, labelers, band sealers, pumps, filtration systems, and other packaging machinery.
  • Weigh, measure, and check raw materials using a computer interface to ensure batches contain the correct materials and quantities.
  • Calibrate and operate semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment according to established procedures.
  • Perform in-process sampling and testing to verify that batches meet required specifications.
  • Follow all company safety regulations, safe practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times.
  • Complete and maintain accurate Quality Records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and SOPs.
  • Maintain equipment and lab rooms in proper operating condition, ensuring cleanliness and organization meet established standards.
  • Exercise sound judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions in routine and moderately complex situations.
  • Review and analyze identifiable factors in work situations to resolve issues and maintain product quality.
  • Receive and follow general instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned to support manufacturing and assembly operations.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to operate processing and packaging equipment such as balances, labelers, band sealers, pumps, filtration systems, and related machinery.
  • Capability to weigh, measure, and verify raw materials using a computer interface to ensure correct batch composition.
  • Experience calibrating and operating semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Skill in performing in-process sampling and testing to confirm batches meet specifications.
  • Ability to comply with and consistently follow company safety regulations, safe practices, and SOPs.
  • Competence in completing and maintaining Quality Records in alignment with regulatory requirements, GMPs, and SOPs.
  • Ability to maintain equipment and lab rooms in good working order and in compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Capacity to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
  • Ability to work effectively with general instructions on routine tasks and detailed guidance on new assignments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Background in assembly, packaging, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in production or general labor roles within a regulated or process-driven setting.
  • Comfort working with recurring work situations that may include occasional variations from the norm and moderate complexity.
  • Attention to detail to help prevent errors that could lead to significant interpretive issues in production or documentation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of EUGENE, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
