Material Handler

The Material Handler manages the flow of materials and products within manufacturing areas, ensuring accurate movement of inventory from dock to stock and from stock to production. This role performs system transactions using scanners and computers, maintains a clean and organized work area, and follows all safety, health, and security procedures to support efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.

• Handle all material movement to stock, including dock-to-stock transfers, material requisition orders, printed circuit boards, and floor returns.
• Perform system transactions accurately using scanners and computers for all material movements.
• Issue material from stock, including transfers, kits, manual pulls, highly marketable parts, and other inventory as required.
• Verify the accuracy of all transactions and inventory movements, correcting discrepancies when necessary.
• Perform cycle counts whenever required to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-organized assigned work area.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with the position.
• Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

• Experience in material handling within manufacturing or similar environments.
• Inventory management skills, including handling stock, transfers, and floor returns.
• Proficiency in using scanners and computers to perform system transactions.
• Ability to manage the flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas efficiently.
• Experience with dock-to-stock processes and material requisition orders.
• Knowledge of handling printed circuit boards and related components.
• Capability to perform accurate cycle counts and verify inventory data.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all transactions.

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to follow established procedures and security policies consistently.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to keep work areas clean and orderly.

This role is based in manufacturing areas where materials and products are actively moved and processed. You will work around production equipment and inventory storage, using scanners and computers to complete transactions. This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
