Direct Counsel is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join a thriving Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy practice within a nationally recognized law firm. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney looking to handle sophisticated restructuring and workout matters while gaining substantial client contact and hands-on responsibility.

The attorney will represent lenders, secured and unsecured creditors, and businesses across a diverse range of commercial loan restructuring and insolvency matters. The practice includes default resolutions, collections, loan workouts, and bankruptcy-related litigation in both federal and state courts.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of bankruptcy, workout, and/or relevant commercial litigation experience

  • Experience representing lenders, creditors, or businesses is a plus

  • Knowledge of CMBS, including special servicing, commercial lending, real estate, maritime, and/or energy law is preferred

  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Strong judgment and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

  • Texas Bar admission required
