General Production Worker

As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of parts produced with a goal of zero defects. You will monitor material levels within the work cell and request replenishment as needed, while assisting the Production Quality Lead in training new team members.

• Inspect finished parts according to operator instructions, control plans, and required quality checks.
• Perform visual inspections for defects such as short shots, contamination, burns, and splay throughout the shift.
• Trim gates, runners, and flash as required.
• Pack parts according to operator instruction sheets and control plans.
• Attach correct bar-coded shipping labels to containers, including date, shift, and name, ensuring the label matches the part being run.
• Assemble returnable packaging as needed for finished parts.

• Experience as an operator
• Plastics and general labor knowledge
• Machine operating proficiency
• Must have 1 year of recent manufacturing experience
• Good tenure and reliability
• Comfortable standing on feet for 12 hours

You will work in an environment with loud machinery that is well-lit. Steel-toed boots and safety glasses are required. The machinery in the back is older, but there are plans to upgrade based on new business opportunities. The work schedule includes 1st shift from 6:30am to 6:30pm and 2nd shift from 6:30pm to 6:30am, Monday through Thursday, with Thursdays scheduled from 6:30pm to 2:00am. Starting October 11th, we are moving to a 3-2-2 schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fraser, MI.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Fraser,MI.
