Production Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations and production teams in a low-volume, high-mix environment. This role is responsible for achieving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives while developing employees and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities and ensure schedules and customer commitments are met.
  • Assign work, manage staffing, labor utilization, overtime, and cross-training.
  • Coach, develop, and hold production employees and team leads accountable for performance.
  • Provide technical support for machining, blueprint interpretation, and process troubleshooting.
  • Partner with Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve issues and improve operations.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor production metrics and implement improvements to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment.
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and operational escalations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated production leadership experience.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree, technical degree, or trade school certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of machining, manufacturing processes, and production operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Experience with production planning, workforce management, and operational metrics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP systems.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Preferred

  • Aerospace manufacturing or component repair experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
  • Experience supporting customer or regulatory audits.
