Controller

We are seeking a hands-on Accountant to join our growing, family-owned company. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, improving processes, and helping build the accounting function as the business continues to expand. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working both strategically and in the day-to-day accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash applications, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and assist with month-end close activities.
• Develop and implement accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls to support a growing organization.
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to increase accuracy, accountability, and efficiency.
• Assist with financial reporting and provide support to ownership and leadership as needed.
• Monitor cash flow and help ensure timely collections and vendor payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and special projects as the company grows.
• Work closely with various departments to improve workflows and financial processes.
• Serve as a key contributor in establishing scalable accounting practices for the future.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

3+ years of accounting experience.

Strong understanding of AP, AR, invoicing, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.

Experience creating or improving accounting processes and procedures.

Self-starter who can work independently and adapt in a growing environment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Experience in a small or growing business environment is highly preferred.
