Job Posting: Senior Network Engineer
Salary: $130,000–$140,000
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network and security infrastructure. This individual will play a key role in modernizing the organization's Fortinet environment, implementing next-generation firewalls, and supporting network integrations and cloud-based solutions.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can independently architect and implement network solutions, lead complex infrastructure projects, and thrive in a smaller IT environment where versatility and ownership are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently design, configure, and implement enterprise network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Fortinet firewalls and security solutions.
- Lead upgrades and implementations involving next-generation firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, and SASE technologies.
- Configure and manage Fortinet products, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiManager, and related solutions.
- Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, routing, switching, and network security.
- Assist with network integrations related to mergers and acquisitions.
- Support VoIP infrastructure and the migration of on-premises telephony systems to cloud-based solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, optimize performance, and maintain network security.
- Lead infrastructure projects independently from design through implementation.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of network engineering experience with strong hands-on architecture and implementation skills.
- Expert-level Fortinet experience, including independently designing and deploying complete Fortinet environments.
- Strong knowledge of next-generation firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, and network security.
- Understanding of SASE and Zero Trust technologies; experience with Zscaler, Cato Networks, or Fortinet SASE is a plus.
- Experience with Cisco networking, routing protocols, and enterprise network infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of VoIP, SIP, PBX, or cloud telephony solutions.
- Experience with AWS or Azure networking is preferred.
- M&A network integration experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and take full ownership of technical solutions.
