A Day in the Shop
Walk into a clean, organized workspace and help keep it that way. As our Fabrication & Shop Support Technician, you’ll be the backbone of daily operationssetting up materials, moving equipment, assisting technicians and trades, and making sure tools are ready when they’re needed. If you like staying active, solving practical problems, and keeping a shop running smoothly, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Keep the shop, yard, and common areas clean, safe, and orderly.
- Support technicians, mechanics, welders, and other trades on projects and repairs.
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shop equipment once authorized.
- Clean, inspect, and stage tools and equipment for use.
- Help with cycle counts, inventory control, and stocking supplies.
- Receive, organize, and store incoming shipments and materials.
- Tackle basic maintenance and routine housekeeping tasks.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Dispose of waste in line with environmental and safety requirements.
- Take on additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and follow direction.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures.
