As a Part-Time Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet to ensure safety and reliability. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include diagnosing vehicle failures, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems. You’ll use advanced vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and execute repairs, while also completing required paperwork to document parts usage and repair times.

Your role will also involve reviewing and addressing issues identified in Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and staying up-to-date with the latest manufacturing standards and technology. Whether working independently or as part of a team, your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL Class A or the ability to obtain one is a plus).
• Ability to lift 55 lbs and effectively communicate repair needs.
• A personal tool set appropriate for the position.
• Proficiency in reading and comprehending service and technical information.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to work without direct supervision.
• Welder/Fabricator experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to pass the Arrow Freight Management technical assessment.
