About the Company
Our client is an established transportation company specializing in LTL freight and cross-border logistics across Canada and the U.S.
They are growing their operation and are looking for an experienced LTL transportation supervisor to help lead the daily operation and keep freight moving efficiently.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong LTL dispatch experience who is ready to take on broader operational responsibility.
You'll lead a team across dispatch and logistics coordination, work closely with drivers, carriers and customers, and step in when shipments, schedules or service issues need attention.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead daily LTL dispatch and transportation operations, keeping pickups, deliveries and shipments on schedule.
- Supervise and support a team of approximately 9–10 employees across dispatch and logistics coordination.
- Coordinate with drivers, carriers and customers to plan shipments, resolve issues and maintain service levels.
- Monitor freight movement and take ownership of delays, exceptions and escalated operational issues.
- Support cross-border transportation, freight brokerage, pricing and process improvements as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on LTL dispatch or transportation operations experience, ideally within an LTL carrier or terminal environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, with the ability to coach, support and hold people accountable.
- Strong understanding of LTL dispatch, shipment planning, routing and carrier coordination.
- Comfortable using TMS and transportation systems; TruckMate experience is an asset.
- Strong communicator who is hands-on, solutions-oriented and comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving operation.
