Position Overview LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented
Terminal Operations Coordinator to support a fast-paced logistics operation located at the Jacksonville port. This position plays an important role in keeping freight moving efficiently by ensuring drivers, shipments, and required documentation are properly validated before materials move through the terminal.
Accuracy is critical. Missing a step, overlooking paperwork, or failing to follow an established procedure can create significant operational delays. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within detailed SOPs, investigating discrepancies, and taking an issue from root-cause analysis through resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Review and validate driver, shipment, and cargo documentation before materials move through the terminal.
- Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure required validation steps are completed accurately.
- Identify documentation or process discrepancies and investigate the root cause of operational issues.
- Work through problems from initial identification through resolution, escalating appropriately when needed.
- Communicate with drivers, transportation partners, and internal operations teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain documentation across multiple operational systems.
- Monitor shipment and cargo activity and research discrepancies between paperwork and system information.
- Respond to phone, email, and in-person questions in a busy operational environment.
- Help prevent delays by proactively identifying missing, incomplete, or inaccurate information.
- Maintain strong safety awareness and follow all site and terminal procedures.
What We're Looking For- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, shipping/receiving, supply chain, warehouse operations, or a similarly process-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing documentation and following established procedures.
- Experience working with SOPs and understanding why procedural compliance is important.
- Ability to identify a problem, research what caused it, and work toward an appropriate resolution.
- Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and managing several priorities at once.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
