We are looking for a Multi-Family Construction Superintendent
Core Responsibilities
- Field Leadership & Operations: Manage daily on-site activities, coordinate multiple trade contractors, and direct sub-crews to keep the job site running efficiently. [1, 2]
- Schedule & Milestone Management: Build and maintain project schedules, three-week look-ahead plans, and trade sequencing to hit critical turn dates and Certificates of Occupancy (CO). [1]
- Quality Control & Inspections: Conduct regular site walks to ensure workmanship matches architectural plans, engineering specs, and local building codes. [1]
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety programs, conduct tool-box talks, and maintain a clean, hazard-free job site. [1]
- Logistics & Materials: Coordinate material deliveries, equipment staging, and temporary site facilities. [1]
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project managers, municipal inspectors, utility providers, and owners. [1]
Typical Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Generally 5+ years of hands-on experience as a superintendent or assistant superintendent on commercial or multi-family construction projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of site work, utility infrastructure, structural framing, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems, and interior finishes.
- You will have a quality manager assigned to you.
