About this position
Pinnacle is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team and provide daily support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will have a passion for serving others and a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Current Openings
- 1 opening, FT: Monday - Friday between 9a and 5p. Schedule is flexible. Experience as a direct support professional required.
- 2 openings, PT: Monday - Friday between 9am-5pm. Schedule is flexible. Experience as a direct support professional required.
- 1 Opening, PT: 24hr shift Friday 9a to Saturday 930a. Comfortable with high behaviors, Experience as a direct support professional required.
- 1 Opening, FT: 43 hours/week. Schedule is exactly these shifts M 9a-7p, Tu 10a-7p, W 9a-6p, Th 10a-6p, and F 9a-5p. Comfortable with Medical Supports and DSP experience required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Ensure the individuals you support receive appropriate care for their medical and behavioral needs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the people you support, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Follow all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- DSP experience and comfort supporting behavioral needs
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to transport clients in a personal vehicle
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a State of Oregon background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
