We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be the ultimate operational anchorbridging the gap between our Commercial Project Managers, field superintendents, estimators, vendors, and clients to ensure every job runs like clockwork from award to closeout.

The Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Roofing) provides essential administrative and operational support to our project management team. You will handle the critical details that keep multi-million dollar commercial roofing projects on schedule and within budget. If you excel at tracking moving parts, solving logistical puzzles, managing contracts, and maintaining clear communication under tight timelines, this is the perfect opportunity to scale your career in construction management.

Key Responsibilities
Project Administration & Documentation
  • Manage Submittals & Closeouts: Prepare, submit, and track all project submittals, material takeoffs, safety submittals, warranties, and official closeout paperwork.
  • CRM & Data Pipeline Management: Keep project files, job pipelines, and historical contract data highly organized and accurate utilizing our company CRM systems.
  • Contract & Scope Management: Assist with tracking purchase orders, processing change orders, and issuing work orders as scopes of work adapt.
Logistics, Material Planning & Vendor Coordination
  • Procurement Support: Select and coordinate material orders and equipment deliveries (cranes, safety setups, material drops) with vendors to align perfectly with production start dates.
  • Subcontractor Compliance: Ensure all field teams and subcontractors meet compliance guidelines before arriving on contracted job sites.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction, roofing, or project coordination is preferred. Experience as an estimator or assistant project manager in a related trade will also be highly valued.
  • Technical Savvy: High proficiency with construction project management tools, CRM software, and scheduling applications. Familiarity with reading blueprints, architectural drawings, or CAD specifications is a plus.
  • Eagle-Eye Detail: A high level of accuracy when managing numerical data, square footage takeoffs, material counts, and contract specifications.
  • Communication Master: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable conducting follow-ups with corporate clients and material distributors alike.
  • Adaptability: A strong problem-solver who stays calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
