About the Role: Family Partners of Minnesota is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Kasson, MN. Responsibilities:- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings
- Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
- Foster independence and skill-building through positive reinforcement and person-centered care
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in direct care, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and team-oriented demeanor
- Willingness to complete required DSP training and certifications
- Ability to handle physical demands of the role, including lifting and assisting with mobility
