ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join a school-based team in Mobile, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about supporting students' academic achievement, behavioral development, and social-emotional well-being.
Position Details
Position: School Psychologist
Location: Mobile, AL
Setting: School-based
Schedule: Monday–Friday, during regular school hours
Caseload: School-aged students requiring psychological assessments, educational support, and behavioral or social-emotional services
Responsibilities
Conduct psychological and educational assessments to evaluate students' learning, behavioral, and developmental needs.
Participate in special education evaluations and eligibility determination meetings.
Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and communicate findings to educational teams and families.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to develop effective student support strategies.
Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing individualized educational plans.
Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, and social-emotional support as appropriate.
Consult with school staff regarding classroom management, student behavior, and intervention strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation and confidential student records.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications
Specialist-level degree or other qualifying graduate degree in School Psychology, consistent with applicable state requirements.
Valid Alabama School Psychologist certification or eligibility to obtain the appropriate credential.
Previous school-based experience preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary educational teams.
Commitment to supporting students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.
