Job Description

Job Description

VIDA delivers quantitative lung imaging for clinical trials, and a growing share of what we deliver comes from outside VIDA: AI algorithms from partner companies and methods developed at academic medical centers. This role owns those partnerships end to end and makes them work in practice. You run each partner integration from signed agreement to live use in trials, hold every partner to VIDA's standard, negotiate the agreements, and keep each partnership performing for as long as it runs.

What you'll do

Run integrations to live

  • Own every partner integration as a project, from signed agreement to first delivery in a live trial: plan, milestones, owners on both sides, risks and status.

  • Define, for each partner, the biomarkers it delivers and what a trial protocol needs to use them: acquisition, quality criteria, reads and validation evidence. Hand that to Science and Clinical Operations so it goes into protocols and imaging charters.

  • Make sure each partner receives VIDA's integration SDK and specification, can build to it, and passes its acceptance test. Where a partner cannot, decide with Product and Engineering whether VIDA adjusts the specification, supports the partner or stops.

  • Run the working sessions between partner technical teams and VIDA's Engineering, Science and QA teams, and clear what blocks them: data agreements, test data, credentials, environments and specifications.

  • Write and prioritize partner integration work in VIDA's backlog with Product, and follow it through testing and release.

  • Hold go-live until the partner meets VIDA's exchange standard: full provenance and versioning, results and masks visible in VIDA's viewer, and validation against reference data. Sign off each partner as ready for trial use.

  • Take first escalation when a partner deliverable in an active trial is late or wrong, drive it to resolution, and fix the cause. When an exchange keeps needing manual checks, turn it into a product requirement.

  • Keep a current status for every partner, so anyone at VIDA can see where each one stands and who is on point.

Evaluate partners

  • Lead the evaluation of prospective AI partners and academic collaborators with VIDA's Science and Product teams: clinical relevance, validation evidence, data quality, regulatory standing and fit with how trials run.

  • Recommend which partners VIDA takes on, how deeply each one integrates, and on what commercial basis.

Negotiate and own the agreements

  • Negotiate partner and academic-site agreements, including licensing, data use, service levels, support and warranty terms, within guardrails the CTO sets. Terms outside those guardrails go to the CTO and legal.

  • Own each agreement once signed: obligations, renewals, changes and the commercial terms behind partner invoices.

Own the relationship

  • Serve as the single owner for each assigned partner and academic site, from scientific leads to executive sponsors.

  • Set performance measures for each partnership, review them with the partner, and resolve problems before they reach a trial.

  • Support Commercial and Business Development on sponsor opportunities that include partner capabilities, and bring sponsor demand back into partner decisions.

What you bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, computer science or equivalent.

  • 5 to 8 years in technical, clinical or platform roles, including direct ownership of external partner or vendor relationships.

  • Integrations or software deployments you ran yourself from kickoff to production, hands-on with engineering teams on data flows, APIs or file exchange, and validation.

  • A record of negotiating and closing commercial agreements yourself, such as licensing, data-sharing, research collaboration or service agreements.

  • Credibility with scientists, engineers and executives alike.

Preferred

  • Medical imaging, clinical trials or clinical AI.

  • Work with academic medical centers or technology transfer offices.

  • Regulated or quality-managed environments, such as GCP, ISO 13485 or FDA-regulated software.
