Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search for a Fabricator in Concord, NC. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, detailed oriented, and someone who wants to learn. This first shift position starts at $18 an hour.
As a Fabricator you will be responsible for the following job duties such as:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily fabrication tasks for commercial aluminum fenestration products, including cutting, machining,
and shop pre-assembly
Perform assembly and fitment of various aluminum parts and extrusions using hand tools and machinery
Responsible for oversight and quality control of individual performance for fabrication team-oriented results
Responsible for meeting daily and weekly production goals set by supervisor(s)
Responsible for overall satisfactory completion of tasks assigned by supervisor(s)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Proficient use of Apple iPad tablet and various construction related applications
Basic understanding of architectural drawings, structural drawings, and architectural faade shop drawings
Capable of clear, accurate communication with co-workers and supervisor(s)
Candidate must be proficient in math and able to read a tape measure
Candidate must be able to physically bend at waist and knees, stand for extended periods of time, and be
able to lift 50 lbs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years experience in the metal working industry or similar
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Average 40-45 hour work week
CERTIFICATONS
OSHA 10-hour certification – preferred
