Work as a Contract Professional Interior Designer supporting projects across healthcare and senior living, corporate and retail interiors, restaurants and banquet facilities, and public and community spaces. Reporting to the principal designer, you will work within a multidisciplinary design team, collaborate with external consultants, lead assigned projects independently, and contribute across the full project lifecycle from concept through construction administration.
Responsibilities
- Develop space plans, schematic designs, and design development packages.
- Prepare construction documents and CAD drawings.
- Create Revit models and 3D visualizations.
- Apply commercial building code requirements to interior design solutions.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations and presentation materials.
- Coordinate with the design team, external consultants, owners, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Participate in frequent owner and contractor meetings and conduct local construction site visits.
- Support construction administration, including meeting agendas, meeting minutes, records of conversation, sample submittal reviews, punch list surveys, and documentation.
- Follow projects from initial stages through completion under the oversight of the principal designer.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial interior design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling programs.
- Knowledge of commercial building codes and requirements.
- Experience with space planning, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Strong presentation and client communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with an experienced, multidisciplinary design team.
- Ability to follow through on projects from initial stages through completion.
