Addison Group is hiring a Customer Outreach Specialist on behalf of our client for a temporary community engagement project in Northern Virginia. This opportunity is ideal for a personable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys connecting with people, gathering feedback, and helping organizations maintain strong relationships with their local communities.

Job Description:

The Customer Outreach Specialist will contact local residents to share information about an upcoming community development project and gather their feedback. The ideal candidate will have previous outbound calling experience, excellent communication skills, and a friendly, professional phone presence. Training and a call script will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Place outbound calls to a list of approximately 500 local residents to discuss an upcoming community project.
• Use a provided call script to explain project details and encourage residents to share their opinions and questions.
• Document conversations and record resident feedback accurately.
• Compile and relay feedback to internal management to help inform community engagement efforts.
• Keep outreach records organized and track communication with assigned contacts.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in outbound calling, customer service, sales, telemarketing, or a similar role.
• Comfortable initiating phone conversations and following established scripts or talking points.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Friendly, engaging personality with a positive phone presence.
• Excellent note-taking, organization, and attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned outreach responsibilities.

Additional Details:

• Start Date: As soon as possible.
• Expected End Date: Early November, with potential for extension based on project needs.
• Interview Process: One approximately 30-minute Microsoft Teams interview.
• Work Arrangement: Fully on-site in Reston, VA.
• Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours per week, with a consistent schedule agreed upon in advance.
