About the Opportunity
Mid Star Lab Inc. is seeking a dependable, organized Manufacturing Lab Manager to oversee daily operations, lead our team, and keep production running smoothly at our orthotic manufacturing facility in Tonganoxie, Kansas.
We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including manufacturing, fabrication, production, machining, and other technical industries. Direct orthotics experience is not required. We're looking for someone who understands how to manage people, coordinate production, solve problems, and maintain high standards of quality.

What You'll Do
- Manage daily lab operations, production schedules, and workflow.
- Supervise, support, and develop lab technicians and manufacturing staff.
- Coordinate workloads and priorities to meet production deadlines.
- Monitor product quality and ensure work meets established specifications.
- Oversee inventory, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Address production challenges and help resolve workflow issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, consistency, and efficiency.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure production needs are met.
- Help establish clear expectations and accountability across the team.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in manufacturing, production, fabrication, machining, operations, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate people, workloads, and competing priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to quality, safety, and dependable performance.
- Ability to take initiative and keep daily operations on track.
- Previous supervisory, team lead, or management experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn our products, processes, and orthotic manufacturing techniques.
You do not need previous orthotics experience to apply. We welcome candidates with relevant
transferable skills who are ready to learn a specialized manufacturing field.
