Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Degrees in accounting, finance, business administration, management, or a related field are particularly relevant.

- Bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Payroll processing or payroll administration.
- Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Recruiting, HR administration, project coordination, or professional-office operations.
- Working knowledge of individual or business taxation or experience working with tax returns.
- Experience in an accounting firm, CPA firm, professional-services business, or other deadline-driven environment.
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will be someone who:
- Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Follows through without requiring constant reminders.
- Communicates professionally and promptly.
- Is comfortable working directly with firm leadership.
- Can handle confidential employee, client, and financial information appropriately.
- Notices problems and takes initiative to help solve them.
- Is comfortable shifting between administrative, accounting, operational, and project-based work.
- Can distinguish between something that requires immediate attention and something that can wait.
- Is willing to learn unfamiliar tasks and become increasingly independent.
- Is dependable and understands that consistent attendance and responsiveness are important in a deadline-driven professional firm.
Growth Opportunity
This position is intended to be more than an administrative support role.
The successful candidate will have direct exposure to firm leadership and the opportunity to develop experience in business operations, accounting, tax, personnel management, recruiting, marketing, client service, and strategic projects.
As the individual demonstrates capability and judgment, the role can expand significantly. We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of the firm’s long-term operation rather than simply perform a fixed list of administrative tasks.
