Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM OR 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; rotating weekend work is required
Job Overview
We are looking for a Multi-Disciplined Technician I to support laboratory and production activities in a biotechnology environment. The technician will work in the Reagents area and manufacture Matrigel by following established production procedures and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare buffers and set up production runs.
- Manufacture products using centrifugation, buffer extraction, filtration, and dialysis processes.
- Operate laboratory equipment and tools according to established procedures.
- Perform production transactions using an ERP system.
- Work with Quality Assurance to identify and address non-conformance issues.
- Follow cleanroom, laboratory, PPE, safety, and quality procedures.
- Work in controlled-temperature areas, including cold rooms ranging from 2°ree;C to -20°ree;C.
- Support production requirements and cross-training activities.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Participate in a rotating weekend schedule to maintain the production cycle.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or higher.
- 1–3 years of experience preferred in biotechnology, laboratory, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and tools.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and direction.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to cross-train and become proficient in multiple production activities.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Bedford, MA.
- Willingness to participate in mandatory rotating weekend work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with centrifugation, filtration, dialysis, or buffer preparation.
- Biotechnology or biomanufacturing experience.
- 5S or Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
- Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled laboratory environment.
- Experience using an ERP system for production transactions.
