About the Opportunity
Medtronic is seeking a Control Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming, automated vision inspection, and manufacturing automation. Allen-Bradley PLC and Cognex/Keyence Vision experience are the top priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and vision inspection systems.
Diagnose machine stoppages and perform root-cause analysis.
Support automated assembly equipment and maintenance teams.
Improve manufacturing efficiency and OEE.
Support equipment design reviews, risk assessments, and validation.
Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot servo/stepper motion systems.
Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional engineering teams.

Required Qualifications
3–5 years of controls/automation experience.
Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, or GuardLogix.
Cognex or Keyence machine vision systems.
FactoryTalk ME/SE and PLC programming languages.
Electrical schematics, motion control, and validation experience.
Willingness to work onsite in North Haven, CT.

Preferred Qualifications
Medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
NFPA standards, DFMEA/PFMEA, machine risk assessments.
FAT/SAT, equipment qualification, and automated assembly experience.

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Controls, Electromechanical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering preferred.
