About Us
Antares Electrical Distributors supplies electrical materials to contractors, developers, home builders, and supply houses across the Caribbean. Our mission is simple: we make it easy for our clients to get what they need, when they need it. Our customers are building on islands where a missing part can stop a job for weeks, so accuracy in our warehouse matters.
We’re growing and modernizing the warehouse, moving from paper to mobile scanning. We’re hiring someone who wants to grow with it and step into our Warehouse Lead role.
What You’ll Do
- Receive and check incoming material against purchase orders, catching shortages, damage, and wrong items before they become problems
- Put away and organize inventory, including wire, conduit, pipe, gear, and fixtures, so it’s easy to find and pick
- Pick, pack, and stage outbound export orders accurately and on schedule
- Prepare shipments for ocean and air freight: palletizing, crating, wrapping, labeling, and marking for international transit
- Load and unload trucks and containers safely
- Keep counts accurate and flag discrepancies right away
- Help lead our move from paper to mobile scanning: learn the system first, then help train the team
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized
Your Growth Path
This role is built to lead somewhere. As you prove yourself, you’ll take on more responsibility for:
- Organizing daily priorities and the flow of receiving and outbound work
- Training new associates on processes and scanning
- Owning inventory accuracy and cycle counts
- Coordinating with sales and purchasing on order status and shipping deadlines
Strong performers can be promoted to Warehouse Lead, with a pay increase to match.
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of warehouse, distribution, or shipping/receiving experience (electrical or construction supply is a plus but not a must)
- Forklift experience; certification preferred but not a dealbreaker
- Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in a warm warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail; you double-check your work without being told
- Comfortable with or eager to learn handheld scanners, inventory systems, and basic computer work
- Someone others naturally turn to: organized, dependable, and willing to show a coworker the right way
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a must
How We Work
- Honesty: If something’s wrong with an order, you say so, even if it was your mistake.
- Chase the Result: The goal is a complete, correct shipment, not just finishing your task list.
- Get It Right: Count it, check it, label it right the first time.
- Own It: Your orders are your responsibility from shelf to container.
- Hustle: When a container is closing or a client needs it today, you step up.
What We Offer
- $16-$20/hour, based on experience
- Full Health insurance, including Dental, Vision and Life insurance
- 13-14 paid holidays off + 12 PTO days (personal)
- 401k matching program
- Overtime opportunities
- Forklift certification and hands-on training on new warehouse technology
- A real path to Warehouse Lead on a small team where your work gets noticed
