Temporary Accountant

Temporary Accountant – Our client seeks an Accountant to work in their accounting department in the Des Moines, Iowa, metro.

This is a long-term temporary assignment with potential temporary-to-hire. You will earn up to $24/hour, depending on your experience and will work Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Some of your responsibilities as Accountant will include:

• Processing weekly and ad hoc AP transactions
• Processing weekly claims check run
• Posting cash entries to balance spreadsheet
• Posting refunds processed through AP
• Preparing daily deposit
• Posting manual cash received and completing cash balancing
• Preparing journal account entries
• Analyzing, preparing and completing Escheat Filing with States

To qualify for the Accountant position, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred)
• Experience with reporting
• Experience with reconciliation
• Experience with general ledger
• Experience with AP/AR
• Proficiency with Great Plains a plus
