This onsite occupational therapy position serves multiple school sites in the Rio Rancho, NM area, providing essential OT services to learners aged 3 through 22 with various disabilities. You’ll step into a vital role, helping to maintain service continuity as OTs rotate through leaves between November 1 and May 27, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in New Mexico
• Prior school-based OT experience is highly valued
• Ability to expertly manage shifting caseloads and adapt to changing assignments
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and educational teams
• Passion for fostering student independence, function, and participation
• Reliable transportation to visit different school sites as required

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group OT services to a diverse population
• Assess, develop, and implement student-centered treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary school teams to support IEP development
• Document services in alignment with school and district procedures
• Adjust to changing locations and assigned students as staff coverage needs arise
• Provide consultative support and guidance to teachers and families
