Job Description: Production Lead - Cracker Company

Position Overview:

The Production Lead at our cracker manufacturing facility is responsible for overseeing the production process of a variety of cracker products. This role involves ensuring that production meets quality and safety standards while managing a team to achieve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

- Supervise and lead a team of production operators, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

- Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in cracker production.

2. Production Management:

- Develop and maintain daily production schedules to meet demand while maximizing efficiency.

- Monitor production flow and adjust resources as necessary to meet goals.

3. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure that all cracker products meet established quality standards and specifications.

- Implement and monitor quality control measures, conducting regular inspections of products and processes.

4. Process Optimization:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

- Work with the engineering and quality teams to address any issues related to production equipment or product quality.

5. Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

- Address production-related issues and bottlenecks in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.

6. Safety Management:

- Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

- Conduct safety training for team members, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.

7. Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records related to production metrics, such as output volume, waste levels, and downtime.

- Prepare reports for management on production performance and any operational challenges.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in food science, manufacturing, or related field is a plus.

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a production role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance processes.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office applications.

Working Conditions:

The Production Lead will work in a manufacturing environment, which may require standing for long periods and exposure to machinery and food production processes. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
