Report safety hazards and incidents immediately to the appropriate department and first responder team if necessary Ensure operators receive material and machine setup prior to production Ensure the area is fully staffed at beginning of the shift and operator production starts promptly at 7:00am Communicate, encourage and motivate your direct reports through coaching Follow the production schedule provided by the area supervisor; communicating any issues, meeting due dates or issues with machine capability Ensure completion of orders and pick raw materials from each work order upon completion Ensure scrap is accurately accounted for and issued accurately to the work order Return unused material to the warehouse per return schedule Primary 1st Piece Inspector for all operators in the area Communicate to your Supervisor current staffing levels, production rates and estimated completion times Communicate with Production Leads on orders flowing from your area to their area Consistently rove to monitor operator quality, progress and efficiency and provide feedback Lead Inventory cycle count for the area scheduling operators to assist if needed Identify and report any opportunities for continuous improvement Complete the 5S system checklist daily Any other task as directed by management and overtime and working weekends may be required with short notice. Print and maintain attendance roll for the area and perform roll call in evacuation and shelter situations
