Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher tosupport warehouse and transportation operationsat a new distribution location in Morris, IL. This role coordinates work assignments, communicates with carriers, verifies transportation documentation, and helps ensure warehouse and shipping schedules are met. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a focus on accuracy and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Distribute work assignments as directed by the supervisor to support daily operations.
- Coordinate with carriers to help maintain transportation schedules and resolve routine issues.
- Review carrier paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and organized files.
- Provide administrative and operational support to help meet warehouse and transportation goals.
- Follow established security procedures, including C-TPAT requirements, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail, with accuracy prioritized over speed.
- Excellent organizational skills, logical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other basic computer applications.
- Good math, reading, and language skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are highly desirable.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with established procedures.
- Closed-toe shoes are required.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday | 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
