Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

This is a Production Worker role in a pre-printing facility, focused on supporting ink preparation and large printing press operations. The position requires open availability for rotating shifts, with primary work on swing shift and potential temporary assignment to other shifts during training. You will perform general labor tasks, assist with machine operation, and help ensure high-quality printed products through careful ink handling and quality checks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor duties in a pre-printing facility to support daily production needs.
  • Mix and pour inks according to established formulas and safety procedures.
  • Load materials into large printing machines and operate equipment as directed.
  • Complete assigned Passover duties related to production and machine operation.
  • Conduct quality checks on printed materials and ink colors to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Monitor production output and report any defects or inconsistencies promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through regular shop housekeeping.
  • Handle and lift materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including working at heights around large printing presses.
  • Perform basic data entry related to production runs, materials used, and quality inspections.
  • Use a computer as needed to record information and follow work instructions.
  • Adhere to shift schedules and remain open to rotating shifts during the training period.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance throughout the 90-day temp period.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both reading and writing, to follow instructions and document work.

Essential Skills

  • Previous production experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment.
  • Ability to operate or assist with operation of production and printing machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail when mixing inks, loading machines, and inspecting printed materials.
  • Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including swing shift and possible shift changes during training.
  • Capability to meet physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights.
  • Basic data entry skills for recording production and quality information.
  • Ability to read and write in English to understand work instructions and complete documentation.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance during the 90-day temp-to-hire period.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in production, warehousing, general labor, auto mechanics, or other industrial experience.
  • Experience with quality inspection of products or materials.
  • General computer skills for navigating basic software and inputting data.
  • Comfort working in warm conditions and around large industrial equipment.
  • Ability to maintain good tenure and stability in previous roles, demonstrating reliability and commitment.

Why Work Here?

This opportunity offers a fast path to employment with the potential to transition from a 90-day temp assignment into a long-term role. You will join a reputable, well-established operation where strong performance can open doors to future opportunities and career growth. The environment values reliability, safety, and quality, giving you a chance to build solid industrial experience while contributing to a professional and organized production team.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a very clean and organized pre-printing facility featuring large printing presses that can be 3040 feet tall. You may work from heights and should be comfortable with this aspect of the job. The environment can be very warm during summer months, and you will work in close proximity to inks and printing equipment, so you must be willing to get dirty, including occasional ink spills on clothing and skin. Work is primarily on swing shift, with training that may occur on different shifts; shift changes come with advance notice and a weekend to adjust. The facility uses industrial production equipment and computers for data entry and documentation, and follows safety practices appropriate for heavy machinery and elevated work areas.
