Colonial Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Cook to join our skilled nursing facility in Crown Point, IN.

The Cook will assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in accordance with planned menus, special diet orders, and established portion control procedures.

Schedule

• Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food served to residents

• Plan food production to coordinate with scheduled meal service

• Memorize, record, and understand menu items, abbreviations, plate presentation, and portion sizes

• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders

• Safely and efficiently operate standard kitchen equipment

• Follow all sanitation and food production regulations

• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• One year of dining services experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related healthcare setting preferred

• Must be 18 years of age or older
