Advisor, Cybersecurity Engineering & Operations

Job Description:

A customer of Insight Global is looking to hire a Logging and Monitoring Engineer to come onboard!

In this role, you will support the day-to-day operation and continued evolution of an enterprise-scale logging and telemetry platform, working hands-on with industry-leading tools including Cribl, Elastic, and Corelight. You will be responsible for onboarding new data sources, maintaining healthy pipelines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring reliable delivery of security and operational telemetry across a large, complex environment. This is a strongly execution-focused role that requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as you will collaborate closely with security operations, infrastructure, and application teams daily. Must-Haves:

1. 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise logging, monitoring, or security telemetry platforms

2. Cribl – Practical, hands-on experience with log routing, pipeline configuration, and troubleshooting

3. Elastic (ELK Stack) – Experience with log onboarding, basic troubleshooting, and operational maintenance

4. Corelight or NDR – Exposure to network telemetry or Network Detection & Response solutions

5. Linux & Windows – Strong system administration fundamentals on both platforms

6. Scripting/Automation – Working knowledge of Bash and/or Python for operational task support

7. Cloud/Hybrid/Enterprise Environments – Experience supporting platforms in large-scale or hybrid infrastructure
