Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of mixing and packaging lines by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and support equipment to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Maintain manual and semi-automatic systems used to process chemical products, including sealants, adhesives, primers, and intermediates.
- Perform preventive maintenance on mixing and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings as needed.
- Support production operations when required.
- Ensure compliance with all plant safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the facility.
- Collaborate with production management to achieve operational goals.
- Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience in a production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls.
- Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Basic knowledge of Windows applications.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with production and engineering teams.
- Prior forklift certification is a plus.
- Electrical, plumbing/pipefitting, fabrication, and welding experience preferred.
- Ability to safely set up, carry, and lower ladders and climb stairs and ladders.
- No fear of heights.
- Adequate vision.
- Lifting of up to 74 pounds.
- Ability to crouch and kneel on job sites as required.
