Shipping And Receiving Clerk

This role focuses on transporting materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility, ensuring they are accurately received, stored, and shipped. The position requires careful handling of inventory, precise record-keeping, and coordination of shipments that support the manufacturing process schedule.

• Transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations throughout the facility in a safe and efficient manner.
• Receive incoming products and materials, verify their accuracy, and distribute them to appropriate, secure storage locations.
• Store products in designated areas, maintaining proper organization and security of all inventory.
• Prepare and maintain detailed records of materials received and shipped, including transaction dates, locations, quantities, and other pertinent information.
• Review outgoing and incoming shipments for quality and accuracy, ensuring products meet requirements before distribution.
• Examine accompanying documents for accuracy, such as packing lists, shipping labels, and other related paperwork.
• Confirm shipping details and any special instructions to ensure orders are processed correctly and on time.
• Expedite shipments that impact the manufacturing process schedule, prioritizing critical orders as needed.
• Support inventory management activities, including warehouse inventory tracking and cycle counts.
• Operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment as required to move and position inventory safely.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate shipping and receiving activities.
• Manage time efficiently to complete daily tasks and meet shipping and receiving deadlines.

• Experience with inventory, shipping, and receiving processes.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices and warehouse inventory control.
• Ability to perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Excellent verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities.
• Good written communication skills for documenting transactions and completing shipping and receiving paperwork.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software for record-keeping and reporting.
• Efficient time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds at a time.
• Ability to wear and properly use safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.

• Comfort working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with ongoing shipping and receiving activities.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong reliability and commitment to maintaining accurate records and safe work practices.
• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment at all times.

This position operates in a warehouse or manufacturing facility environment with active material handling and inventory operations. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift. Team members regularly handle materials and products, use equipment such as overhead cranes, and work around shipping and receiving activities. Safety is a priority, and employees wear appropriate protective gear, including goggles and gloves, when using box cutters or similar tools.

This is a Permanent position based out of Appleton, WI.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
