We're currently seeking a dedicated, experienced Construction Materials Testing Technician (Field Professional) to join our team in Salt Lake, Utah.

About the Role

As a Field Professional for STRATA, you'll perform field testing and observations of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt. Your accurate testing, timely reporting, and clear communication will directly support project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field observation and materials testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, and asphalt
• Test in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
• Assist senior technicians and inspectors with complex tasks
• Maintain and calibrate field and laboratory equipment
• Report results promptly and accurately
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members
• Operate company vehicles responsibly and maintain their condition
• Travel out of town and work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

Ideal candidates have over 1 year of experience in construction materials testing and two or more of the following certifications:

• Soil and asphalt in-place density training (such as APNGA certifications)
• Concrete testing (ACI certifications)
• Sampling and testing of aggregate, embankment, and asphalt: UDOT Sampling, Reduction, and Density Testing Technician (SRDTT) qualification and/or additional WAQTC certifications
