Fleet Maintenance Director / Mechanic

This position encompasses scheduling and maintaining our fleet of light duty vehicles plus class 8 petroleum delivery vehicles equipped with pumping and metering systems to safe and completely functional standards. Additional responsibilities such as snow plowing our various business locations, performing road call service as needed for issued company vehicles; relocating vehicles within our locations; maintaining appropriate records for all vehicles; maintaining the appearance and safety of the shop; and assisting as called upon to perform helpful tasks.

Maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers; while remaining cost conscious, honest and transparent with company finances.

Maintain your CDL B with endorsements for HazMat, Air Brakes and Tanker and your DOT Medical Card. [Must have or be able to achieve]

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preventive Maintenance

  • Repair

  • Scheduling

  • Inventory ordering & management

  • Work orders and DOT required documentation

  • Road Service

  • Snow Plowing

  • Helpful miscellaneous requests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ASE or Tech School certifications helpful BUT NOT mandatory comparable field experience respected!

  • Strong work ethic with a never quit attitude

  • Reliability

  • Welcoming attitude toward new challenges

  • Valid driver's license, acceptable MVR

  • Self-Starter; Independent worker!
